Your printer warranty is safe
Some people whose printers are less than a year old worry that an own-brand cartridge might invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. This isn’t true. By law, manufacturers aren’t allowed to invalidate your warranty if you use own-brand cartridges. If something does go wrong and our own-brand cartridges are to blame, we’ll take over the manufacturer’s warranty, offer you phone support and repair or replace your printer if needed.

For anyone contemplating buying Cartridgesave compatible toner for the Xerox Phaser 7100, who is concerned that these products may not work or damage their printer, I have good news! We have carried out exhaustive tests of these compatible cartridges over several months, both with colour and black toner and can confirm these compatible cartridges work as well if not better than the OEM product, at a fraction of the price Xerox charge. The only issues we have had are the following: During the replacement of a Cyan cartridge, the web-based printer management interface reported that the replacement was only 72% full. After turning off the printer completely and re-starting it reported the cartridge was 98% full. It also warned there was a "non-original Xerox toner cartridge" installed. However, it worked perfectly. We have also seen an error message after replacing a Black cartridge which stated it was "non-original," but reported it was 100% full. Again, there were no problems with printing or print quality, which was and is excellent and no different to OEM cartridges. No such error messages have been reported by the printer on replacing Yellow or Magenta cartridges. So these would appear to be purely software glitches possibly caused by the way in which the chips in the compatible cartridges communicate with the printer firmware. Now to usage. We print a wide variety of materials, mostly in black only, so black gets replaced most often, but the following data applies equally to the three process colours (CMK) too. Xerox OEM cartridges best usage: 2372 impressions. Worst usage: 2167 impressions. Compatible cartridges best usage: 2298 impressions. Worst usage: 2261 impressions. So, on average the compatible cartridges perform as well or better than the OEM product. Finally, delivery and customer service from Cartridgesave has been superb and I have no hesitation in recommending them. I was extremely wary of using compatible cartridges, having heard many horror stories over the years, but I can honestly say that my fears have been proved groundless so far as this printer is concerned and the savings, needless to add, or enormous. In short, if you own one of these printers you are throwing money away if you buy OEM cartridges.
