This is an amazing photo printer if you want to rattle off reasonably high quality prints with little regard for the costs of doing so. I purchased this printer at the beginning of Janruary, in in that time I must have printed 500 photos in a range of sizes, but mostly 5x7. In that time the coloured inks have barely moved, about 1/4 of the black is gone and about 1/3 of the grey (which is mixed with everything for the less saturated colours). While I think the yield of 3800 6x4 images is wildly optimistic unless you only took photos in the arctic, costs are significantly lower than any cartridge based printer I have owned. It really changes the way you approach printing. I have been able to print entire photo albums for relatives, an almost forgotten thing in the digital age. For my nieces 18 birthday I was able to print an entire photo album of her with about 200 images, This printer enabled that day of memories looking through the album, don't think I would have attempted that with my last printer. Pros: Excellent colour gamut Realistic flesh tones Super Easy setup Low running costs Quiet Amazing fun to rattle off prints for everyone Cons: Slow Slightly coarse print resolution Hidden maintenance cartridge costs Consumes grey ink more quickly than you would expect
