The Brother DCP-195C colour inkjet is an A4 format multifunction printer integrated with direct print capabilities alongside the typical scan and copy functions. Brother claims fast print speeds that don't compromise the overall output quality of the DCP-195C, but some essential features are missing. Technical support is hard to get, and Windows 7 users may have trouble installing this device.

Design

ThE Brother DCP-195C multifunction printer boasts colour inkjet technology running on 32MB of memory and a host interface of USB 2.0. The Brother DCP195C has ample ports for USB flash drives, memory cards, and PictBridge, plus a user-friendly control panel that serves as the centrepiece of the entire device. The top part of the Brother DCP-195C printer is dominated by a flatbed scanner and copier, and at the bottom is a paper drawer with the 100-sheet input and 50-sheet output trays.

Advantages

The Brother DCP-195C colour inkjet multifunction printer is a good performer for the office. The Brother DCP 195C all-in-one offers borderless printing and direct printing capabilities, which help users save time, energy, and resources. Print speeds are fairly acceptable and it does not take too much time printing colour images and pictures. The compact frame allows it to fit discreetly on desktops and cramped spaces. Users found it easy to set-up and change the ink cartridges of the Brother DCP195C. It is also affordable to run because of individual ink cartridges.

Disadvantages

A USB cord is not included in the package. Computers running on Windows 7 require additional drivers to install the Brother DCP-195C. The LCD display is another disappointing feature of the DCP195C because it lacks a backlight and it is too small, making it hard to read the text.
