The Brother DCP-353C uses Brother LC1000BK ink cartridges. Brother LC1000BK ink comes in black; the black cartridge prints 500 pages.
If you require a sophisticated colour inkjet printer with scanning functions, a large amount of internal memory and the ability to print high-resolution documents, look no further than the Brother DCP-353C. It comes with lots of positives, such as its wide range of connectivity options and its very high scanner resolutions. However, it also has some drawbacks, including a relatively heavy weight.
Despite being a little on the heavy side, this printer has a compact enough size of 398 x 360 x 150 mm. It comes with several external media connection points, including mini SD cards, memory sticks, Compact Flash and more. It also has a USB flash memory drive. In terms of its paper tray, it has a capacity of 100 pages and an output tray capacity of 50 pages.
A distinct advantage of this device is the amount of memory it offers. It has 32MB of RAM, making its memory more than twice as powerful as some related models. It also has a very strong resolution capability, especially for the scanner – the optical resolution here is a maximum of 600 x 2,400 dpi maximum, while the interpolated resolution is 19,200 x 19,200 dpi.
While the Brother DCP-353C printer does have several advantages, it also comes with some downsides that you should take into account. It packs a lot of features into one device, but that makes it heavy. at over 7kg in weight, it could be too cumbersome for some workplaces. Also, unlike some products in the Brother product line, the Photo Capture Centre on this model is not compatible with SmartMedia.
