The Brother Fax-1360 uses Brother LC1000BK ink cartridges. Brother LC1000BK ink comes in black; the black cartridge prints 500 pages.
The Brother Fax-1360 promises better value for money with an inkjet fax engine, a small footprint, and a feature-packed interface. The product is specifically aimed at home users and small businesses that need a reliable fax machine with telephony features ideal for straightforward low-volume faxing, but it is quite expensive to run and the speeds are bordering mediocre to sluggish.
This fax machine is built with monochrome inkjet technology for black-and-white faxing and copying. The device runs on 16MB of memory, boasts a 100-sheet paper feed, and a 20-page ADF. Unlike previous models, the Brother 1360 Fax printer is integrated with a telephone handset. The device is fairly easy to operate with a basic control panel with a 1-line, 16-character display screen. The entire machine measures 12.8 inches tall, 19.3 inches deep, and 16.1 inches wide.
The Brother 1360 inkjet fax machine includes a telephone handset and features IntelliFax technology for basic and some advanced fax applications. It can store up to 300 pages of fax documents in case the device is left unattended and ink runs out. Paper handling is surprisingly versatile and made more efficient with the 20-page automatic document feeder for the copier and fax. The space-saving design is another plus for the Brother 1360. Users can fold-up the paper trays when it is not in use.
Because of the monochrome inkjet technology of the Brother Fax-1360, it may not be the best solution for users who want to save money, as it uses low-yield inks. The fax modem speed is limited to 14.4Kbps, which is quite outdated when compared to faster 33.6Kbps units. There is no option to expand the built-in memory. The Brother Fax-1360 inkjet printer is somewhat heavy, too, weighing almost 6kg. The device doesn't support PC fax.
