The Brother MFC-295CN uses Brother LC-980VALBRF ink cartridges. Brother LC-980VALBRF ink comes in black and multicolour; the black cartridge prints 300 pages, the multicolour cartridge prints 260 pages.
Small workgroups needing a low-use all-in-one printer can get the budget Brother MFC-295CN. The Brother MFC295CN is a network ready colour inkjet multifunction printer offering scanning, copying, and faxing capabilities, plus built-in Ethernet. The MFC-295CN has a monthly duty cycle of 2,500 pages and features an automatic document feeder to help save time. However, the Brother MFC-295CN does not have Wi-Fi and print speeds are slow.
The compact Brother MFC 295CN printer has a flatbed scanner on top with an automatic document feeder on the cover. The inkjet printer is at the bottom while the control panel with the LCD screen and numeric keypad is on top of the output tray. Connectivity options include Ethernet or USB. There is also a PictBridge port and memory card readers on the Brother MFC295CN multifunction printer.
The built-in networking allows users to share the MFC-295CN printer with workgroups. Print quality of texts and photos are excellent – borderless printing is also offered. With the PictBridge port and memory card readers, users don't need to turn on the computer to print their photos from the Brother MFC295CN A4 colour printer. The copier and fax machine also has stand-alone functionality.
With the high-quality images and prints of the Brother MFC-295CN photo printer, expect pricey ink costs. The printing speed of the Brother MFC-295CN is poor. This multifunction printer could have been better if it had a colour LCD display instead of a text-only LCD and a Wi-Fi.
