The Brother MFC-790CW uses Brother LC1100BK ink cartridges. Brother LC1100BK ink comes in black; the black cartridge prints 450 pages.
The Brother MFC-790CW is a versatile printer that comes with a range of useful functions, including print, copy, scan and fax. From its time-saving multi-copy features to its robustness and fast speeds, it will be a great asset to any home or office. Before pressing ahead with a purchase, though, it’s wise to consider the possible downsides, such as small technical restrictions which could raise potential difficulties for certain users.
Due in part to the high number of features it contains, this printer is relatively large at 460 x 375 x 180 mm. Those who need a scanner will find the generous scanner glass dimensions handy. The maximum width is 215.9mm, while the maximum height for inputs is 297mm. Other design features of the Brother MFC-790CW include a paper input tray with a capacity of 100 sheets, a fax modem speed of up to 33,600 bps and PC interface options, including LAN and USB.
When it comes to advantages, the Brother MFC-790CW has plenty. The copier function, for example, has a maximum monochrome print resolution of 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, while it also comes with sorting and stacking functions. Unlike some printing devices on the market, this one has a high level of compatibility with many operating systems, including of the more recent versions of Windows.
There aren’t many drawbacks to a handy device like this. However, some of its functions are a little restricted. The fax-forwarding feature only works for monochrome documents. Also, while some later versions of popular operating systems are compatible with this device, it can’t be used with the most recent versions, such as Windows 10.
