An industrial and understated design makes the Brother MFC-845CW suitable for an office, yet it stands out on its own with its telephone features and dedicated fax buttons. Apart from those features, this multifunction printer supports wireless connectivity and has an answering machine. However, fax and print speed is an issue with the MFC-845CW.
Design
The Brother MFC-845CW uses colour inkjet technology and a 4-cartridge ink system to deliver high-resolution prints of up to 6000x1200 dpi. Its maximum paper input capacity is 100 sheets only, but there is a 10-page automatic document feeder for the copier, scanner, and fax machine. Brother integrated an answering machine into this multifunction printer along with a 5.8GHz digital handset (cordless). Somewhat heavy at 8.7 kg, the Brother MFC-845CW is quite bulky for a typical desktop, measuring 18.7 inches wide and 14.6 inches deep. The device comes with PhotoCapture capability, which includes a PictBridge port and media card drives.
