The multi-functional Canon Maxify MB5155 is a great addition to any small or home office. With fax, copying, printing and scanning capabilities all in one relatively small package, this printer is the perfect fit for those who work from home or in smaller offices. Its small dimensions mean it doesn't take up too much much-needed space but it still manages to look professional and deliver excellent results.
Design
The Canon Maxify MB5155 comes in an attractive matte black finish, and while it may be a little boxy to look at, it packs a lot into a small area. It measures roughly 555 x 478 x 449mm and weighs approximately 14.2kg and could very happily sit on a larger desk or on a sturdy sideboard. There is a 250 sheet input tray, easy to use buttons and 8.8cm colour LCD touch screen. The printer also includes automatic double sided printing.
Advantages
Working in a modern office environment, even from home, it's important to remain up to date with wireless technologies and the Canon Maxify MB5155 certainly does that. You can print from a wide variety of cloud services with this machine, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Evernote, OneNote, OneDrive and Concur. There's also a USB port and the printer is compatible with both Mac and Windows. You can also print from your Apple devices using AirPrint or alternatively use the Canon PRINT app from your smartphone or tablet to print directly from there. The Canon MB5155 has a printer resolution of 600 x 1200dpi.
Disadvantages
While the Canon Maxify MB-5155 can certainly do a lot from one small machine, it isn't particularly speedy when it comes to printing in comparison to other, professional level printers. You can expect up to 16 pages per minute when printing in colour and 24 pages per minute when printing in monochrome.
