Canon MultiPass C100 Printer Review

Expert review of the Canon MultiPass C100 printer

Our Verdict:
star
star-filled

The Canon MultiPass C100 is a trustworthy device that can deliver solid and decent print output. It has the capacity to take various print media types, while its resolution level is also a big plus. However, the Canon MultiPass C100 does have some downsides, especially in the realm of printer speed.

Design

The Canon MultiPass C100 has plenty of design benefits for a discerning user to make the most of. It has one USB interface, and it also enjoys an interpolated scanning resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. It can take a variety of different media types, including photo paper and envelopes, and its maximum paper size is legal. It has a document feeder capacity of 20 sheets and accepts a maximum media weight of 105 gm.

Advantages

At 1,440 x 720 dpi, this device has a particularly high colour printing resolution compared to some other printing models. Its fax function has a respectable maximum transmission speed of 33.6 Kbps. The fax function has several other highlights. Its error correction mode makes rectifying mistakes simple, while it permits speed dialling of up to 100 stations and one-touch dialling of 12 stations.

Disadvantages

Despite all these benefits, there are still some disadvantages with the Canon MultiPass C100. It has a particularly slow printing speed. Its monochrome print speed is just 9 pages per minute, while its colour printing speed is even lower at just 4 pages per minute. It also has a particularly restricted operating system compatibility record. The most recent OS it supports is Windows 2000, so most will want to choose a different multifunction printer.
