The Canon MultiPass F60 uses Canon BCI-3EY ink cartridges. Canon BCI-3EY ink comes in yellow; the yellow cartridge prints 380 pages.
The Canon MultiPass F60 is a colour multifunction printer which uses inkjet technology and includes copy, scan and print functions. This is a useful machine in a small or home office, although be aware that there is no fax capability. As there is no automatic document feeder, scans and copies will need to be completed one at a time which may reduce office efficiency. Those wanting to print photographs will enjoy the software, which allows the printing of good quality images. The quiet operations are a definite bonus for this printer, minimising the disruption which printing can cause when in close proximity to those working.
The Canon MultiPass F60 has the dimensions 46 x 52 x 23 cm and is white in colour with a grey control panel which includes a two-line, 20-character LCD screen. Printing speeds are 20 ppm in monochrome and 13 ppm in colour. Printing resolution is 600 dpi in monochrome and 1200x2400 dpi in colour. Paper is stored in the input tray which can hold 100 sheets. Connection is achieved via a USB interface.
Operational noise on the Canon MultiPass F60 is near silence, reducing the distraction it causes while in operation. Software is included to aid the printing of quality photographs, and it is Energy Star certified, meaning that energy costs are reduced and there is less of an environmental impact caused by your printing. Setup of the printer is straight forward and quickly completed. It also allows the scanner cover to be removed, allowing you to scan from bulky items such as books.
With no fax capability on the Canon MultiPass F60, this will need to be purchased separately if required, resulting in further expense and space requirements. With no ADF, documents will need to be scanned or copied one at a time.
