Canon MultiPass MP160 Ink Cartridges

Design

The Canon MultiPass MP160 is quite compact, measuring 7.2 inches tall, 15 inches deep, and 17.5 inches wide and weighing approximately 7kg. It has a sleek and stylish frame with a simple control panel conveniently located in front, right below the flatbed scanner and copier. There is a PictBridge port located in front, too, below the left-hand corner and beside the collapsible paper tray. The high resolution of the copier is up to 4800x1200 dpi for accurate duplicates.

Advantages

Scanning documents with the Canon MultiPass MP160 is easy and results look clear. Users can directly print from their digital camcorder or camera, while the copier can be used PC-free. This multifunction device is affordable, so users get all the perks like direct printing, a decent scanner, a copier, and a colour printer in one compact product. The MultiPass MP160 has acceptable speeds at up to 17 ppm in colour and 22 ppm in black.

Disadvantages

Ink management is among the main weaknesses of the Canon MP160. The Canon MultiPass MP160 printer cleans itself periodically and consumes a good amount of ink during the process. The ink cartridges themselves are not high-yield and are overpriced. The Canon MultiPass MP160's scanner is average, at best.
