The Canon Pixma MG2500 is a dual function printer that is also capable of scanning documents in both colour and black ink. It is an appropriate size for use in a small space at home without any reduction in quality. Its high-resolution capacity provides clear prints which are produced at speed, which makes it a great piece of equipment when prints of a good standard are required without spending an extortionate amount of money.
Design
In addition to the Canon Pixma MG2500 not being an intrusive addition to a home office as a result of its efficient size and design, it also has a quiet operation so does not prove to be an annoyance. Though small, it is powerful enough to be able to print eight pages per minute in black and four pages in colour, making it a particularly powerful machine for its size. The buttons are easy to access and ensure the printer is simple to operate.
Advantages
The Canon Pixma MG-2500 has the ability to conserve energy with the use of an automatic shut-off when the printer is not being used for a long period. Similarly, the automatic power on when printing begins prevents the need for checking to make sure it is switched on. This saves not only energy but also time, especially when documents are needed in a hurry. The printer uses the FINE cartridge system to create clear images with a resolution of 4800 dpi.
Disadvantages
There is no lower tray on the Canon Pixma MG2500 so it will need to be given a sufficient amount of room to allow the paper to be released freely and avoid jamming. The functions of the printer are limited, so those that undertake a lot of work may not find it that useful.
