Our Verdict:

The Canon Pixma MG5700 series of printers use a 5-ink system to ensure excellent detailing of prints and even helps lower running costs - only cartridges that run out needs to be replaced. Models are available to suit different needs but all are aimed at the home or small office market.

Design

The Canon Pixma MG 5700 series are ink based printers with a flatbed scanner housed on top. Their paper trays can be opened and closed to save space. The control panel comes with one-touch buttons and a coloured touch display. A USB port is provided and WiFi support available on some models.

Advantages

The impressive Canon Pixma MG5700 offers a resolution of 4800dpi. Images will have brilliant colours while documents have sharp and clear texts. Cloud Link allows users to directly scan to and print from the cloud. The Canon Pixma MG5700 is also smartphone and tablet ready with an accompanying app. With Wi-Fi direct, a router is not needed to connect to the MG5700 printer.

Disadvantages

The design of the Canon Pixma MG5700 can be limiting when it comes to expansion of paper-handling. This model does not have an automatic document feeder and can only carry 100 plain sheets at a time. Print and copy speeds of the Canon Pixma MG5700 models are also relatively slow.
