The Canon Pixma MP230 is an entry-level multifunction printer designed for home use. Whether users are students or have a home office, this unit can deliver high-quality copies, scans, and prints. The Canon Pixma MP230 all-in-one colour printer can also be used in delivering vibrant photos. Users can print directly from Facebook or the internet with the integrated applications. The Canon MP230 colour inkjet does not offer Wi-Fi connectivity.

Design

The sleek and stylish Canon Pixma MP230 comes in matte black and it has a flatbed scanner. The control panel is easy to use and the input tray can handle 100 sheets. The Canon Pixma MP230 all-in-one inkjet printer measures 444 x 329 x 153 mm and weighs 5.3 kg. Print speed is 7 ipm for monochrome and 4.8 ipm for coloured; maximum print resolution is 4,800 x 1,200 dpi.

Advantages

The Canon Pixma MP230 inkjet all-in-one printer delivers good quality output at reasonable speed. The MP230 is easy to operate and install plus it is compatible with PC and Mac. To make photo printing easier, the Canon Pixma MP230 colour multifunction printer is bundled with good creative software. The MP230 inkjet printer takes up little space and it uses high quality Canon MP230 inks.

Disadvantages

This unit could be better if it offered networking connectivity such as Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The Canon Pixma MP-230 printer does not offer PictBridge and memory card slots and borderless printing of photos is not allowed. A duplexer is not offered and double-sided printing can only be done manually. The Pixma MP230 uses tri-coloured ink cartridges which can be more wasteful.
