Simple, affordable and compact, the Canon PIXMA T205 Printer is ideal for families and students. It enables you to create simple, high quality printing of borderless photographs, and sharp, vivid documents. It also, usefully, has built in Wi-Fi as well as USB connectivity. Photos can be printed creatively by using My Image Garden software, which includes the up-to-date technology of face recognition, which allows you to search images on your PC simply and swiftly.

Design

The Canon PIXMA T205 Printer is small and durable, and has an easy-to-clean, patterned surface. It measures approximately 426 x 255 x 131 mm (width x depth x height), weighs approximately 2.5 kg and has acoustic noise levels of around 46.0 dB (A). It is ideal for home office use, as you won't need a lot of space for it. The print resolution can go up to 4800 x 1200 dpi, with a mono print speed of approximately 7.7 ipm and a colour print speed of around 4 ipm. The maximum plain paper input is 60 sheets, and the sizes it takes are A4 and LTR plain paper, and 10 x 15 cm photo paper.

Advantages

Practical and cost-effective, this Canon PIXMA T205 printer can be used in quiet mode so you can enjoy almost silent printing. You can also save energy by using Auto Power Off, which switches the machine off when it is not being used. It has a paper detection sensor and the printer is easy to set up and control, with quick USB connectivity to PCs.

Disadvantages

The average print speed of most inkjets is 16 ipm, with a range of between 3 ipm and 55 ipm, whereas this Canon PIXMA T205 printer is slower than many tested. However, as it's aimed at student and home use, it will probably rarely be used for high volume runs.
