The Canon Pixma TS6051 is a multi-functional printer that uses inkjet technology for crisp, high-definition printing, and incorporates scanning and copying functionality into the same small and compact unit. Scanning and printing can be done via the internet from Wi-Fi devices such as smart phones and tablets, and there’s a USB slot for more traditional connectivity. The design is less square than previous models, with rounded corners and smooth lines complementing modern office decor. Users can dispense with a PC for printing high-quality photos, as this can be done straight from the camera via a cable or Wi-Fi, or using the built-in card slot.
Design
With dimensions of 12.4x14.6x5.4 inches and a weight of 6.2kg, this is a multifunctional printer that will fit easily into the smallest office space. The 3-inch LCD screen is adjustable and from it, all operations can be controlled. There are also simple buttons on each side to initiate scanning, printing and copying. For colour prints, a maximum speed of 10 ipm is adequate, and a high-quality colour print can be run off in 39 seconds. Mono printing at 15 ipm enables sizeable text documents to be processed quickly, and there is square printing support for Canon’s glossy paper range. Connection to the cloud is provided by the proprietary PIXMA cloud software.
Advantages
All print, copy and scan operations on the Canon Pixma-TS6051 are easily initiated and adjusted from the frontal LCD panel, making this a highly flexible but easy-to-use multipurpose printer. There are multiple options for its operation, from direct linking via the USB cable to printing directly from the cloud and social media. The 'Creative Park' software provides considerable creative control, and the print app from Canon makes remote printing and copying extremely easy.
