The Canon Pixma TS8050 uses Canon 0332C005 ink cartridges. Canon 0332C005 ink comes in multicolour; the multicolour cartridge prints 650 pages.
The Canon Pixma TS8050 is far more than merely a quality printer. This is a versatile all-in-one machine that allows for scanning and copying of documents too, and produces crisp text and lab-quality photo reproductions. The printer’s touch screen is unusually large and simple to use, and all the functions can be accessed from here, including selecting images, printing them and adjusting the printer functions. Mobile and cloud printing are enabled, and as well as printing direct from social media, documents can be scanned and then uploaded to popular cloud services, such as Google Drive.
Measuring 14.6x12.7x5.4 inches and weighing 6.5kg, the Canon TS8050 is a compact piece of multifunctional kit that complements and fits into the most crowded small office. The print resolution is an impressive 9600x2400 dpi, and with a mono print speed of 15 ipm (10 ipm for colour printing), this is more than enough for most purposes. Two-sided printing is the default, which saves on paper, and the six separate ink tanks save on ink. Scanner resolution is 2400x4800 dpi, with a scan speed of 14 seconds. The maximum copy speed is 19 seconds. With an acoustic level of 49dB, the printer’s operation is relatively quiet.
The crisp text reproduction and high photo resolution of this printer are definite plus points and with scanning and copying incorporated into its relatively small and compact body, it offers the perfect affordable solution for the home office. The Canon 'Print' app can be used to control the unit remotely, using a smart device over the internet, and the large LCD screen is a real bonus. Documents and photos can be scanned directly to the cloud as well as being printed from it, and only ink cartridges that have run out need to be replaced.
The printing sound levels, though relatively muted, may still be considered too high for an overly quiet environment.
