The Canon Pixma iX7000 is an energy efficient and network-ready solution for small businesses and home offices that require a fast and intuitive printer for graphics and documents, but it is not the perfect choice for lab quality photographs and it lacks versatile paper handling functions.
Design
Canon classes the Pixma iX7000 as an office printer with the CMYK 5-ink system. An optional black ink is available for black text printing. The highest resolution that the Pixma iX7000 printer can handle is 4800x1200dpi, which is also applicable to borderless printing. Two-sided printing can be configured and made automatic. The Canon Pixma iX7000 can connect to a PC via a high-speed USB port or an Ethernet connection. The device is quite heavy, weighing 19.8kg and measuring 250mm tall, 519mm deep, and 647mm wide.
Advantages
There is a built-in duplexer, it comes with 3 paper trays, and paper handling is excellent. The Ethernet connection on the Canon Pixma iX7000 is useful when it needs to be shared by a workgroup.
