Designed for printing receipts, the Citizen CBM911 dot-matrix printer features a small footprint while offering lower running costs with its dot-matrix printing technology. The Citizen CBM911 impact printer is also notably faster than its predecessors, but users may need to pay more for it.
The understated box-shaped unit features a small footprint that weighs approximately 0.5Kg, so it is easy to lift, transport, and integrate into most business environments. It offers parallel and serial connectivity, which is compliant with centronics and RS-232C. The Citizen CBM-911 printer runs on 2k bytes of buffer memory. The eight-pin engine includes two heads with four pins each, and it is able to produce either 144 dots per line or 180 dots per line when printing, with character sizes that range between 1.62mm x 2.4mm and 1.08mm x 2.4mm.
It is versatile enough to print 24 columns in speeds of up to 2.5 lines per second, or 40 columns at up to 1.8 lines per second. The Citizen CBM911 may be used for restaurant, ticket, and ticketing applications. Connectivity is versatile, and it is easy to load a 58mm paper roll. The lightweight frame allows for easy installation, while industrial settings can go for wall mounting installation to save space. The Citizen CBM911 is also praised for auto loading and paper-near-end alert features.
The CBM-911 receipt printer is slightly pricier than previous models. Only black ribbon cartridges are available for the unit. The Citizen CBM 911 uses a dot-matrix engine with thermal printing function, so output may fade over time.
