The Citizen IDP3111 is a very compact printer that is versatile enough to be used in rugged and mobile environments because of its internalised battery and smart construction. The Citizen IDP3111 dot-matrix printer is affordable, lightweight, and cheap to operate, but it could be better if it had a faster engine and higher memory.
Design
The Citizen IDP3111 POS printer is lightweight, weighing approximately 0.4Kg, and it comes in a compact frame at 3.5 inches tall, 4.2 inches wide, and 7.1 inches long. The machine uses serial dot impact as the printing method and connects to a single computer via parallel centronics. The input buffer is up to 2k bytes. The IDP-3111 printer mainly runs on an internal NiCad battery.
Advantages
This is a highly portable printer compatible with regular batteries, or users can purchase an optional rechargeable battery pack for the Citizen IDP3111 impact printer to save money. It can print 40 columns and it is easy to load paper. The Citizen IDP3111 receipt printer includes a paper end sensor and bit image graphics support.
