The Epson EcoTank L805 provides ultra-low-cost printing and an integrated ink tank system that can help users save up to 90% on the costs of everyday printing. In addition, the special tubes in the printer are designed to make sure there is a smooth and reliable flow of ink throughout print runs. The device can print photos up to A4 size quickly and easily on CDs, DVDs and paper. The Epson Micro Piezo printhead provides a minimum droplet size of 1.5pl with variable-sized droplet technology, and it has a nozzle configuration of 90 black nozzles and 90 per colour.
Design
The L805 weighs 6kg and measures 547mm x 289mm x 187mm (width x depth x height), and the compact, space-saving design means it fits almost anywhere without taking up a lot of room. The noise level is 36 dB(A) with Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper in Photo RPM mode. The output tray capacity can hold up to 50 sheets, and it can handle a variety of media and also make borderless prints.
Advantages
The L805 can print up to 1,800 photos from an initial set of bottles, with an approximate print speed of 12 seconds per each 10cm x 15cm photo, and speeds of 37 pages per minute for monochrome documents and 38 pages per minute for colour documents. It provides high-quality prints in a resolution of 5,670 x 1,440 dpi and has an expanded colour range of six inks. Wi-Fi connectivity via Epson Connect enables simple, hassle-free printing from both smartphones and tablets.
Disadvantages
The Epson EcoTank L805 is designed specifically for photo printing and is not suitable for organisations that require multifunction devices that will provide more flexibility to meet their printing needs.
