Housed in a simple monochromatic frame, the Epson Stylus Pro 9400 is stylish enough for a creative working environment that needs a wide-format 44-inch printer. The Epson Stylus Pro 9400 CAD printer measures 1178mm wide, 560mm tall, and 501mm deep, with the main control panel being small and accessible on the top right-hand side. Connectivity is mainly via high-speed USB 2.0 and IEEE1394, with the option to integrate a Type BI/F Ethernet interface.

Advantages

The Epson Stylus Pro 9400 inkjet printer is a reasonably fast device, printing at up to 17 square metres per hour without compromising high quality colour output. Epson-made technologies like Micro Piezo, variable-sized droplet, and ultra micro dot ensure lower running costs while maintaining superb output in 1440x720dpi. The Epson 9400 colour inkjet printer is easy to manage and programme, so users can conveniently load any type of large media for 2D or 3D GIS and CAD print outs. The dual 4-colour ink set of the Epson Stylus Pro 9400 enables faster print speeds and high capacity Epson 9400 cartridges are extremely economical.

Disadvantages

It is expensive and bulky, so it may not be the best choice for limited spaces. The warranty that comes with the Stylus Pro 9400 is limited to only a year. Weight is another problem; it is approximately 90Kg without the media and the ink cartridges installed. Compatibility is another issue. The Epson 9400 Stylus Pro printer does not work with newer operating systems such as Mac OS 10 and Windows 7.
