The Epson Stylus Pro 9900 wide format printer is among the initial products introduced by the manufacturer in its Stylus Pro series of printers. The device is aimed at graphic artists who require a wider 44-inch format printer. With the integration of the so-called 'new generation' photographic printing technologies, the Stylus Pro 9900 printer promises better quality output and faster print speeds. However, it is a pricey, heavy, and bulky model that is missing some essential features.

Design

The Epson 9900 printer can be connected via USB 2.0 or Ethernet, and configurations can be done on-board with the user-friendly control panel, featuring a 2.5-inch LCD screen. All the signature technologies Epson is known for are integrated into the Stylus Pro 9900, including advanced MicroPiezo TFP print heads, PreciseColour manufacturing, and AccuPhoto HDR screening.

Advantages

The wider colour gamut ensures more accurate and sharper line art, text, and colour graphics in 2880x1440dpi resolution. The print heads of the Epson Stylus Pro 9900 colour inkjet printer can automatically adjust and align, while the 3-level black ink technology improves grey balance and removes colour cast. The Epson Stylus Pro 9900 large format printer also boasts a spindle-free roll media loading feature and a rotary cutting system. For lower operating costs, users can choose between the standard capacity (350ml) or high capacity (700ml) Epson Stylus Pro 9900 ink cartridges depending on how much ink they require.

Disadvantages
