The compact Epson Stylus SX100 all-in-one is an excellent choice for budget-conscious home users demanding more economical prints. The Epson Stylus SX100 inkjet printer makes a good first impression with its low initial cost, too, but the sluggish print speeds can be a significant drawback to those who need to print daily in bulk.
Design
Fairly lightweight at 4.6kg, the Epson Stylus SX-100 is a compact and sleek all-in-one device that measures 185mm tall, 327mm deep, and 434mm wide. The Epson SX100 is a 4-colour inkjet machine integrated with the company's signature Micro Piezo printheads and a DURABrite ultra ink system. The minimal control panel lies to the top left-hand corner of the device, beside the flatbed scanner and copier, and it is simple to navigate. Connectivity is offered by a USB port at the back.
Advantages
The Epson Stylus SX-100 multifunction printer is highly regarded for its compact size and user-friendly scanner. The Stylus SX100 is affordable to run, too, because the ink cartridges are cheaper. Optimised printouts have more detail at a resolution of 5760x1440dpi. Paper capacity is good enough at 100 sheets and media handling is efficient for commonly-used types. Disadvantages
The Epson Stylus SX100 is mostly criticised for being sluggish, but some users complained about the low-yield black inks, which tend to run out faster especially if you need to print too many pages per week. The Epson Stylus SX100 prints noisily, too, and experts determined that the sound levels reached up to 66dBA. Overall print quality is unimpressive because of significant banding and jaggedness on text, while colour printouts appeared paler than the original. The entire device is fussy to install because of the software.
