The Epson SC-T5100N SureColor large format machine is a fast yet cost-effective technical printer that is capable of producing highly detailed drawings, blueprints and plans for a range of different industries. This desktop version is designed to be placed in a smaller office where it will not impose on the existing space. The white/grey colour scheme ensures that it blends well in most offices. Developed to include wireless technology, this printer can be accessed by staff even when they are away from their desks, via a smartphone or tablet device.
The Epson SureColor SC-T5100N printer model uses pigment inks rather than standard dye inks to ensure that documents do not smudge. With 1GB of memory, it can manage a long run of prints without any loss of accuracy, and for Apple users, a job can be managed through AirPrint using a phone or tablet. The printer measures 1,268w x 505d x 230h mm, and it weighs 33kg. When printing in colour or monochrome, it can reach speeds of up to 31 copies per minute, which is impressive considering the output media could be up to 36 inches wide.
A flexible choice in busy offices, the SureColor SC-T5100N Epson model comes with an LCD colour touchscreen that can be used to program a print run. From here, an administrator can also access apps to monitor ink usage and help fix problems without the need to call a technician. From sheet-feed to large-format printer rolls, it supports A4 paper all the way up to A0 cut sheets, and changing between these different media types is simple. To avoid misprints and dead pixels presenting a problem, Nozzle Verification Technology uses different nozzles to fulfil a task when necessary.
Mobile printing is mainly geared toward Apple AirPrint, and there is no onboard scanner.
