The Epson SureColor SC-T5200 PS is a large-format colour printer that prints up to A0 size. It will work well for a variety of images that need to be rendered with high-quality prints, including architecture, engineering and design. Thanks to the PostScript printer driver, it can print data-rich files from leading design programs, and with a PrecisionCore TFP print head and five UltraChrome inks, the results are impressive. Vibrant tones and smooth blacks are faithfully recreated without complicated printer operations. However, be aware when you purchase this printer that it is a large, heavy device, and it is likely to take several people to move it to its desired location.
With measurements of 1405 x 813 x 1128mm, the Epson SureColor SC-T5200 PS is a large device. Print resolution is 2880 x 1440 dpi, and the printing speeds allow for producing an A1 image in 28 seconds. The printer is monitored and controlled from a control panel that includes a 6.8cm colour LCD screen. Connection to a computer is achieved using a USB or Ethernet interface. It uses a PrecisionCore TFP print head.
Since it is easy to set-up and operate, the Epson SureColor SC-T5200 does not require any expertise to use. Thanks to Epson’s PrecisionCore TFP print heads as well as UltraChrome XD pigment inks, the quality of printing is very high, resulting in vibrant tones and crisp blacks. There are five ink cartridges, including matte black and photo black. Printing speeds are unusually fast for a large format printer. The PostScript printer driver allows for printing data-rich files directly from leading design programs.
As the Epson SureColor SC-T5200 PS is a large device, initial set up can be awkward, requiring several people to move it to its desired location.
