The Epson WF-4740DWF is an efficient multi-function printer with a colour print, scan, copy and fax function. It is ideally suited to a small business with moderate printing demands, such as requiring good quality documents up to A4 size, without spending too much either initially or on the running costs. The low price tag means it is also suitable for home use. With its small footprint, this printer should be easy to place, even in an office where space is limited. The ability to connect wirelessly or from the cloud and mobile devices is an advantage for homes and businesses that need to print from multiple devices.

Design

Measuring 425mm x 388mm x 330mm, the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740DWF is a compact device in a black design. The speed of printing is 24 ppm in monochrome and 22ppm in colour with 14 A4 pages in duplex. There are two paper trays each holding 250 sheets, and the machine takes four ink cartridges to create an accurate colour spectrum. Print resolution is 4,800 x 1200 dpi, and the monthly duty cycle is 25,000 pages. Connectivity is achieved via a USB connection, wirelessly or via mobile and cloud services.

Advantages

Using Epson's DURABrite Ultra Ink, the Epson WorkForce Pro WF-4740DWF produces documents that are smudge, water and highlighter resistant, resulting in a smooth, professional appearance. The option of large ink cartridges and duplex printing saves money and is beneficial to the environment. Use Epson apps to enable printing directly from smart devices and the cloud, making it straightforward to print from multiple devices. A three-year warranty is included for added peace of mind.

Disadvantages
