The Epson WorkForce Pro WF-C8690D3TWFC printer model is an ideal A3 business inkjet MFD to help keep costs low and output high with its fast first page out time (FPOT). Designed for small to medium workgroups, it can fulfil most organisations’ basic printing requirements. A4 documents are produced speedily and efficiently, and it also opens up even more uses for A3 documents including brochure drafts for proofreading, Excel spreadsheets, booklets and construction site plans. Electricity bills can be kept to a minimum, both reducing organsitions’ environmental impact and improving their corporate social responsibility (CSR) reputation. Its range of tools and software enable efficient scanning and secure printing options, plus NFC and wireless connectivity supports printing from mobile devices. It has a smartphone-inspired user interface and touchscreen, and the Epson Open Platform and Epson’s work with ISVs add more solutions such as PaperCut print management software.

Design

The WF-C8690D3TWFC Epson inkjet model weighs 104.8kg, and its dimensions are 772 x 873 x 1,162mm (width x depth x height). It has a maximum duty cycle of 75,000 pages per month and a recommended duty cycle of 500-5,000 pages per month.

Advantages

The WF-C8690D3TWFC Epson WorkForce Pro series model has no warm-up time and a fast FPOT of 5.5 seconds. It can print up to 8,000 pages in colour and 11,500 in monochrome before needing to change supplies thanks to its large ink cartridges, reducing staff intervention time and therefore hidden costs. It can print on a range of surfaces including recycled paper, glossy media, envelopes and labels. Its simple and effective inkjet mechanism also requires less replacement parts such as fusers, drums and developers, while its no-heat technology and no ozone emissions contribute to its low power consumption.

Disadvantages

The Epson WF-8690D3TWFC is a reliable inkjet printer, but as with all inkjets, it is slower than a laser printer.
