Busy workgroups with demanding print jobs can improve their productivity with the Epson WP-M4595 DNF, a monochrome business inkjet with four-in-one capabilities and advanced emulations for a more versatile machine. It promises a lower total cost of ownership and reduced energy consumption than laser printers, but it is expensive and lacks a more intuitive user panel.
Design
This is a multifunction printer that weighs 13.8Kg and measures 341mm tall, 420mm deep, and 460mm wide, with a plain but sleek body that can fit on most desktops. It runs on 384MB of memory and connects to a computer via USB 2.0 and Ethernet. The standard paper tray handles 250 sheets, while the multipurpose tray can handle 50 sheets. The centrepiece of the Epson WP-M4595 DNF is the operator panel with a 6.3 colour diagonal LCD screen.
Advantages
It functions as a standalone copier, prints fast at up to 16ppm, and easy to maintain. The Epson WP-M4595 DNF offers scanning, fax, and automatic double-sided printing functions, too. DURABrite inks make the output resistant to fading, smudging, and highlighter ink because they instantly dry. The Epson WPM4595-DNF can be easily integrated into IT environments because of versatile emulations like Adobe PostScript and PCL5c. It can also print from mobile devices via Wi-Fi.
Disadvantages
The initial price is high for the small, start-up business and it only prints in monochrome. It can be difficult to operate the control panel of the Epson WP-M4595 DNF as it feels cluttered.
