The Epson WF-7715DWF is an A3 multifunction inkjet printer which incorporates a scanner, fax machine and copier. Ideal for a small office or home office that wants to bring its A3 printing in-house, the document quality produced is of a high professional standard. Although the initial outlay for ink is expensive, the high yield cartridges produce good value for money. The printer is easy to use thanks to the intuitive touchscreen, although the associated mobile printing apps can take some getting used to. The main drawback of this printer is the low paper capacity, which may require frequent refills at times of heavy workload. There is also no facility to expand the capacity to reduce the printer downtime.
Design
The Epson WorkForce WF-7715DWF prints at speeds of 18 ppm in monochrome and 10 ppm in colour. The print resolution is 4800 x 2400 dpi and the monthly duty cycle is 20,000 pages. It measures 567 x 452 x 340 mm and comes in a black casing which fits in well with most colour schemes. On the front is the control panel with a 10.9 cm touchscreen. Paper is stored in a tray with a 250 sheet capacity and an automatic document feeder which holds 35 sheets. Connection is achieved from a USB, network or wireless interface.
