The Epson XP-312 uses Epson 18 ink cartridges. Epson 18 ink comes in black; the black cartridge prints 175 pages.
The Expression Home Epson XP-312 printer is part of Epson's Small-in-One range. It is a 3-in-one unit capable of printing, copying, and scanning at decent speeds. The Epson XP-312 all-in-one with Wi-Fi even allows mobile printing. It has an LCD screen, a step up from previous Small-in-One models, which only featured a control panel. The Epson XP-312 multifunction printer offers easy Wi-Fi configuration for PC-less printing. However, the XP-312 colour printer lacks fax support and automatic duplex capabilities.
Built for desktop use, the Epson Expression Home XP312 inkjet printer measures a compact 390x300x145 mm. It includes a flatbed scanner and digital copier, and a higher-capacity media tray, which now holds up to 100 sheets of paper. The Epson XP-312 also has memory card support for flexible data sources, along with USB and Wi-Fi interfaces. The colour LCD screen is an excellent addition to the design, complementing the unit's intuitive control panel.
The Epson XP-312 Small-in-One uses variable droplet size technology, which allows high print resolutions up to 5760x1440 dpi. It also uses Epson Claria Home Ink technology in the Epson XP-312 printer cartridges, which ensures colour-rich printing and glossy results on photo paper. Scanning resolution is up to 1200x2400 dpi. The Epson XP-312 printer scans and copies at decent rates and documents come out at faster print averages. Monochrome pages come out at 33 ppm, while colour pages come out at 15 ppm.
The Expression Home XP-312 lacks fax and network support, making it more suitable for home use. It also lacks automatic duplexing, which makes it harder to print double-sided documents. Nevertheless, the unit offers Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing shared use between Wi-Fi enabled devices.
