Expert review of the HP Designjet T2530 36-in printer
The 36-in HP Design Jet T2530 multifunction printer produces speedy, professional-quality output using specific original HP inks including grey and photo black. It provides precise, detailed, consistent colour documents and professional quality CAD and GIS drawings. A1/D-size prints can be produced in 21 seconds, and it enables workgroups to save time with its integrated print, scan and copying functions and an in-built output stacking tray.
Design
The HP T2530 printer model has dimensions of 1399 x 916 x 1110mm (width x depth x height) and weighs 112kg. It handles standard metric rolls of 210 to 914mm wide sheets and 279 to 914mm rolls and custom rolls of 210 x 279mm to 914 x 1219mm. The memory specifications are 128GB (file processing) and standard internal storage of 500GB, and the print languages are HP-GL/2, HP-RTL, TIFF, JPEG, CALS G4, HP-PCL3GUI and URF.
Advantages
The T2530 HP DesignJet series model facilitates enhanced productivity with efficient printing including a secure, easy-to-use single intuitive control panel for printing, scanning and copying. It prints up to A0+/E size with resolutions of up to 2,400 x 1,200 optimised dpi and a line drawing print speed of 21 sec/page on A1 Draft and 120 A1 Draft prints per hour. Users can also utilise Adobe PostScript® for high resolution graphics, and printing can also be done using a smartphone or tablet and remotely by emailing files directly to a compatible printer. The integrated 50-page output stacking tray delivers collated, flat prints, and the two rolls provide flexibility through easy front loading, automatic alignment using two media types and sizes as well as smart switching.
Disadvantages
The HP 36-in DesignJet T2530 inkjet printer is suitable for offices with a variety of requirements including high spec graphics and architectural drawings. It may not be a good investment for an organisation or home office with less complex printing requirements.
