Created for large scale printing, the HP Designjet 820 MFP can create works of up to A1 size with a resolution of 2400 x 1200 dpi. Using HP Colour Thermal Inkjet technology, the printer creates sharp quality images suitable for most large-scale business printing needs. The HP Designjet 820 MFP is versatile as it can scan, print, and copy a wide variety of media as needed and is compatible with most operating systems.

Design

The HP Designjet 820MFP can handle a single-sheet feed or a roll feed and also features an automatic cutter. There is a 160MB of RAM and a 23GB hard disk to ensure adequate memory for large jobs. The HP Designjet 820 MFP is very large at 203.4 x 104 x 160cm and weighing 183.47kg. Print speed is up to 21.5 sq ft per hour on colour best mode and 85 sq ft per hour in draft mode. There is an LCD display on the HP Designjet 820 MFP that makes for easier changes to settings and initial configuration.

Advantages

The HP Designjet 820 MFP has a decent scan speed of 1.5 inches per second in colour and six inches per second in mono and can handle an impressive reduction/enlargement rate of one to 10,000 per cent. It has been designed to be compatible with a wider array of media types including tracing paper, standard paper, vellum, transparencies, glossy photo paper, canvas and all types of poster paper. Disadvantages

The Designjet 820MFP can only handle 99 copies at a time which can often be too few for larger businesses. The large size of this printer makes it unsuitable for most homes and would be poor choice for any business not requiring regular large-scale printing. The HP Designjet 820 MFP is a wired HP Designjet 820 MFP and unsuitable for any environment where Wi-Fi is needed for printing.
