Excellent photo output and the low initial cost are among the best things about the HP Deskjet 3820, but users may not be happy with the quality on text and graphics as well as its overall speed and running costs.
Design
The 'tissue box' look and lightweight plastic casing of the HP Deskjet 3820 makes it quite light at 11.7 pounds and compact at 7.6 inches tall, 20.0 inches wide, and 14.8 inches deeps. This inkjet printer can be linked to your PC or Mac using either a Parallel or USB connection. The HP Deskjet 3820 is integrated with HP ColorSmart III / HP PhotoREt III image enhancement technology for printing high-resolution photos.
Advantages
Amateur photographers may find the HP Deskjet 3820 a good choice because of its high-quality photo prints. Text printing is adequately fast at 12 ppm in draft, 6 ppm for 'normal' monochrome, and 10 ppm for mixed colour and text draft.
