Designed for small businesses and homes, the HP Deskjet F2488 is a budget-friendly solution that delivers top quality prints. It supports multitasking, helping improve productivity and save time. The HP Deskjet F2488 is also capable of scanning and copying.
Design
The HP Deskjet F2488 makes use of HP Thermal Inkjet and boasts a resolution of 600 dpi (black) and 4800 x 1200 (coloured) for prints and photos. It has an 80-sheet input tray and a 15-sheet output tray. It looks like any other Deskjet printer. The flatbed scanner on top of the unit boasts an optical resolution of up to 1200 dpi. The copier has a speed of 18 cpm (black) and 16 cpm (coloured).
Advantages
This printer only needs 2 ink cartridges (black and tri-colour), so running costs are low. It is Energy Star Qualified and only uses 22.8 watts (maximum power consumption).
Disadvantages
Unlike other all-in-one printers, the HP Deskjet F2488 does not have faxing capabilities. It makes use of a USB cable and is not Wi-Fi ready, so it may not be the best choice for shared workspaces. Still, for the price, the Deskjet F2488 is a good buy. It should last a long time with proper care.
