HP Envy Photo 6230 Printer Review
Expert review of the HP Envy Photo 6230 printer
For a professional-looking machine that is capable of providing a high level of service, the HP Envy Photo 6230 is a great option. When a dedicated printer is required for printing everyday documents at home, or for a business within a home office, this printer is an option that should definitely be considered.
Design
Beneath the sleek exterior of the HP Envy Photo 6230 is an efficient machine that is capable of printing in colour and mono, and doing so to a resolution of 600 x 1200 dpi. The tidy appearance of the printer will appeal to many users, and the inconspicuous controls ensure that this HP printer can proudly take its place in any office. Though it is fairly compact at 18.27” x 15.16” x 5.73”, this unit is still capable of accommodating a 225-sheet input tray.
Advantages
The HP Envy Photo 6230 can boast a low energy consumption for the amount of work that it is capable of. This inkjet printer uses both black and colour ink to produce documents and images across a range of paper sizes and types, as well as envelopes, and can produce double-sided prints.
Disadvantages
The 600 x 1200 dpi resolution offered by the HP Envy 6230 is not as high as provided by more modern printers. The abilities of this inkjet printer are basic compared to more advanced printers. The ink cartridge that is used by the printer only contains the four main colours of black, cyan, magenta and yellow, which may not be enough for those who are used to a wider spectrum of colours.
