This multifunction printer is fast and helps reduce overall colour printing costs by up to 50 percent. The HP Officejet Enterprise Color X585f multifunction printer has built-in fax together with scan and copy functions, streamlining the workload and improving productivity without compromising manageability and security. However, the Hewlett Packard X585f Officejet Enterprise printer is expensive, lacks upgrades for the growing office and offers average photo print quality.
Design
This 36.3kg machine measures 533mm wide, 574mm tall and 546mm deep. The eight-inch colour touchscreen with an image preview function adds a tech-savvy touch to the understated and industrial-style frame of the HP X585f colour MFP. Paper is handled by a 500-sheet input tray, 50-sheet ADF, 50-sheet multi-purpose tray and a 300-sheet face-down output bin. Computer connectivity is through a high-speed USB 2.0 device, and for networking, there's gigabit Ethernet. Other standard interfaces are two USB host ports, fax modem port, two internal USB hosts, a hardware integration pocket and a foreign interface. The Officejet Enterprise X585f inkjet printer runs on 1792 MB of system memory.
Advantages
A large colour touchscreen simplifies on-board operation and management. Data is protected with high-end security solutions. HP Web Jetadmin works with the HP Officejet Enterprise Color X585f printer to allow administrators to centrally control and monitor the device. Produce documents fast at a lower price and tackle high-volume requirements with an additional 500-sheet paper tray. Two-sided printing saves resources, while automatic document feeding saves time. New features can be introduced to the HP Officejet X585f colour multifunction printer with upgradeable firmware. Excellent fade, water and smear-resistance is guaranteed on prints outs thanks to the unique pigment ink used in the HP Officjet X585f ink cartridges.
Disadvantages
Print speeds are unimpressive when the HP Officejet X-585f colour printer is set at default. It has a high initial price and lacks upgradeable memory, an envelope feeder and built-in Wi-Fi. The HP X585f Officjet MFP doesn't produce the best photos. Borderless printing isn't supported either, and a USB cable doesn't come included in the package.
