The HP Officejet 6950 All-in-One uses HP 3HZ51AE ink cartridges. HP 3HZ51AE ink comes in black and multicolour; the black cartridge prints 750 pages, the multicolour cartridge prints 750 pages.
The HP OfficeJet 6950 is tailored for environments such as business and home, where affordable and professional quality is of the utmost importance. It offers a seamless mobile experience, with extensive printing capabilities on the go via apps, and users can handle a multitude of projects simultaneously, without being hampered by slow speeds. Automatic two-sided printing is also available, which consumes 50% less paper on average. Overall, the HP 6950 is an extremely capable all-in-one.
Standard dimensions for the HP OfficeJet 6950 are 46.4 x 39 x 22.9cm and it weighs 7.7kg. Print, scan, copy and fax functions are supported, along with multitasking. Users can use HP ePrint, Apple AirPrint and Wireless Direct printing or connect directly. All tasks are performed using the 5.6cm touchscreen display, located on the upper right hand side of the 6590. There is a 225 input sheet tray and support for numerous operating systems, including Windows 10, 7 and Vista.
The ISO black print speed of up to 16 pages per minute is mightily impressive, as is the manufacturer’s claim of nine pages per minute for ISO colour. The HP Thermal Inkjet punches above its weight and delivers some of the best maximum 4800 x 1200 dpi colour prints. Wireless printing and sharing is easy, tasks can be managed via HP’s remote app, and smartphones can be connected directly for intuitive prints. Each printing colour cartridge can be replaced separately, which can cut down on running costs.
The lack of an Ethernet connection is disappointing, considering the abundance of other connection types. Its bulky profile may also make it ill-suited to compact home and small office environments. The 5.6cm display may be frustrating to operate for some users and the standard output capacity of 60 sheets may not be sufficient for heavier work duty loads.
