This HP Officejet Pro 6970 all-in-one printer would make a great all-rounder printer for anyone looking for a reliable printer for their home office or small business. While this printer probably couldn’t sustain a large, busy office environment it would be a good addition for small work-spaces, and would be ideal for home workers who want something that can fax, scan, copy and print all from the one machine and for a great price as well. This particular model has an automatic document feeder so you can scan and copy multi-page documents with ease as well as automatic duplex printing as standard.
Design
While the HP Officejet Pro 6970 is perfect for home office workers, it is probably a little too bulky for anyone looking for a home printer to use in a more causal capacity. It does look great though, despite its larger than average footprint. It has an all-black matte finish that gives it a chic, professional look as well as a 2.7in colour touchscreen that makes navigate all the printer’s various functions super easy. There is a 225-sheet input tray, 35-sheet automatic document feeder, and 60-sheet output tray. The printer measures 18.2 x 11.1 x 9in and weighs an approximate 8.1kg.
Advantages
One of this printer’s main advantages is its connectivity, which means you can print straight from your smartphone or tablet using either Apple Air Print or Google Cloud Print, or alternatively HP’s own remote mobile app. The intuitive touchscreen control panel not only looks great but works well and will feel very familiar to smartphone and tablet users. The HP Officejet Pro 6970 allows you to easily send files to more than one place and copy and scan double-sided documents automatically.
Disadvantages
Printing from the HP Officejet Pro 6970 can feel a little slow at times and as with many comparable inkjet models printing running costs can be high. It’s size may also be excessive for some customers.
