The first model in HP's PhotoSmart 3100 series, the HP Photo Smart 3108 is a good all-in-one device for the home or a small office. It boasts good print resolutions of up to 1200x1200 dpi for monochrome and up to 4800x1200 dpi for colour prints. Expect 4x6 photos to come out at an impressive rate of 96 seconds. The HP PhotoSmart 3108 also packs in a digital copier and scanner along with a fax feature, together with its high-performance printer. It does not have a built-in wireless connectivity function, though.

Design

The HP PhotoSmart 3108 measures about 8.3x18.3x15.6 inches, perfect for desktops. Users can navigate through the device's menus via a 16-bit LCD display, which fits right in the centre of the front panel. The paper tray sits in front of the machine, catching printed documents that have gone through HP's drop-on-demand thermal inkjet system. The HP PhotoSmart 3108 also supports a good variety of memory card types.
