An economical choice for photography enthusiasts looking for a fast photo printer, the HP Photosmart 8250 is reliable and affordable. However, it is quite bulky and heavy, and its print quality tends to vary. Some users notice graininess and banding. This device many not be a professional photo printer, but is more than ample for amateur photography enthusiasts.

Design

The HP Photosmart 8250 is designed to for speedy printing. It is integrated with Vivera inks, and boasts an optimised resolution of 4800x1200 dpi (colour). This printer has a more innovative ink reservoir system that relies on 6 individual and replaceable ink cartridges instead of the outdated built-in print heads on the tri-colour ink cartridge system. Weighing around 19 pounds, the HP Photosmart 8250 is rather heavy and is larger at 17.6x15x6.3 inches. It is integrated with PictBridge, USB 2.0, and built-in card readers.
