The Lexmark 2591+ is a workgroup forms printer that offers high quality and high-yield wide-format forms printing features. It offers multi-font document support and even has page and character monitoring as bonus features. The Lexmark 2591+ uses 24-pin dot-matrix technology, which allows for higher resolution forms printing, though it lacks network support for easy-shared network setup. Nevertheless, the 2591+ forms printer is a good choice for single-user environments, but not for an office in need of an all around unit that can print other types of documents.
Designed for wide-format printing, the Lexmark 2591+ dot-matrix printer is slightly bulkier than previous models from the same range. It measures about 25x11.4x7.7 inches, taking up more desk space, but still manageable enough for desktop operation. The Lexmark 2591+ 24-pin printer is equipped with parallel and USB connection ports, and it has an automatic paper feeder, which takes up media from the front. The 2591+ workgroup printer has an installed RAM with a maximum capacity of 512 Kb, and its print engine can produce higher print resolutions up to 360x360 dpi.
The Lexmark forms printer 2591+ printer offers versatile media handling, capable of printing on different types and sizes of continuous forms or cut paper. The high quality Lexmark 2591+ forms printer offers energy saving features and it has three different print modes, each yielding different speeds. Fast draft speed is up to 556 characters per second, while draft speed produces 480 characters per second. The best quality affords 160 characters per second, which is still fast enough.
However, the Lexmark 2591+ matrix printer does not offer network connectivity, which makes it more suitable for single-user setups rather than shared workgroups.
