Our Verdict:

For low volume postage needs, the Neopost IS-280 franking machine is efficient in printing stamps with exact rates while enabling small businesses to cut down their postage rates and maintain a professional image. The Neopost IS280 mailing system for small and growing businesses is user-friendly and versatile, but there are some limitations to the size and types of envelopes it can handle.

Design

The small and lightweight frame of the Neopost IS-280 inkjet printer allows it to be placed inconspicuously into any office or desktop without taking too much space. The understated design lets it look professional, but it stands out with a fairly large control panel with a monochrome display screen. The Neopost IS280 franking system measures 12.5 x 8.8 x 7.6 inches and comes with a default 0.907-kilogram scale. Connectivity is via an analogue phone, iMeter PC link, or LAN.

Advantages

The IS-280 franking machine from Neopost can process up to 18 letters per minute, store up to nine job imprints in the memory, and remember up to eight standard or two open advertising slogans. Users may store 10 custom personalised text messages, too. Usage control and reporting tools are available in the Neopost IS 280 printer. The iMeter apps alert users about rates, low ink, and diagnostics. The Neopost IS-280 postage meter is also easy to operate and offers high quality digital printing. Red Neopost IS280 franking ink produces fantastic outgoing mail with professional images, slogans and logos that are ideal for conveying a positive impression for any business.

Disadvantages

Users need to feed envelopes manually into the IS280 franking machine, so it could be better if it had an automatic function to save time. The thickest envelope thickness that the Neopost IS-280 can accommodate is 5/16 inches. A busier and growing office should consider another franking machine because of the limited expandability features.
