This impact printer has a nine-inch carriage and an auto-tear feature to make output retrieval a simple process. It is easy to use, has barcoding facilities and can run twice as long as many other printers in its class. The Oki Microline 5520eco is ideal for wholesale, service or customer service environments. It has a print speed of up to 570 characters per second, a USB interface and is capable of printing a variety of different barcodes. It can take a range of media, including envelopes, cards, plain paper, continuous forms, fanfold labels and die-cut labels. The Oki Microline 5520eco has been designed to help save not only on printing costs but also environmental impact. On-board technology helps reduce the printer’s power consumption in its standby or sleep mode. This reduces the printer’s energy consumption, and thereby lowers both its running costs and carbon footprint. The durable print head and cartridge ribbon also mean that parts need to be replaced less often. There are optional top-pull and bottom-push tractor units to permit the simultaneous loading of two different media types.
