The Oki ML5590eco is an 80-column wide-carriage dot matrix printer with a 24-pin print head that produces good results in multi-part form listing and high-speed, high-volume data listing. It is designed for the rapid printing of documents such as receipts, picking lists, invoices, spreadsheets and reports.
It includes a range of fonts and barcode support, making it particularly useful for retail or industrial workplaces, where this robust machine will work reliably even in demanding environments. However, if space is short, then carefully consider all your printing needs before purchasing.
Design
The Oki Microline ML5590eco measures 398 x 345 x 153mm. The robust chassis is in a grey colour, which fits in unobtrusively with most colour schemes. The print resolution is 360 x 360dpi. The printer connects with a USB cable or parallel interface. The machine prints using a black ribbon cartridge, which can produce two million characters. The print speed is up to 420 characters per second.
There are top, bottom and rear input paths to enable a convenient switch between paper forms and single sheets as well as the feeding of heavier papers and labels without interrupting the printing process. A built-in rear push tractor feed unit provides extra flexibility.
