A plain paper fax machine from Panasonic, the Panasonic KX-FC265 makes an ideal choice for any home, office, or business setting. It is a fax machine, answering phone, and copier in one, and is basically the same machine as the KX-FC225 that it replaced. The Panasonic KX-FC265 can automatically answer your calls, receive faxes, and record your messages even while you're away. It comes with a cordless handset, and can even be used with 4 more handsets to create a convenient phone system for the home or a small office. This unit's transmission speed is not as fast as more recent models, rated at only 9.6 Kbps.
Design
Unlike earlier models, the Panasonic KX-FC265 thermal fax machine comes in black, but still has the same compact design. It has a small LCD display, surrounded by easy to understand controls. The Panasonic KX-FC265 fax printer has a 10-sheet automatic document feeder, and a larger directory capacity of up to 100 items. The transmission and reception memory, however, remains the same. The Panasonic KX-FC265 features a speaker phone feature, and uses quick scan technology for faster copying/faxing.
Advantages
In addition to having a larger phonebook memory, the Panasonic KX-FC265 fax machine also offers power-saving capacity, consuming only 0.2w on standby, and up to 3.2w when operating. It features caller ID and fast redial, and the answering machine can record up to 15 minutes of messages.
Disadvantages
The Panasonic KX FC265 printer is not as versatile as other MFPs from well-known brands, offering faxing, copying, scanning, and printing from their all in one devices. However, the KXFC265 has competitive features, suitable for small and home office settings, though fax transmission speed is not very fast at 12 seconds per page.
