Pitney Bowes DM60 Printer Review
Expert review of the Pitney Bowes DM60 printer
Designed for home uses and small businesses, the Pitney Bowes DM60 franking machine is a reliable unit that can switch from franking to stamping. This small unit delivers professional envelopes and can even print logos. Aside from handling envelopes, the Pitney Bowes DM60 printer can also offer exact postage for parcels up to 2.5kg. The Pitney DM-60 model doesn’t offer PC integration connectivity.
Design
The Pitney Bowes DM60 franking printer measures 351 x 264 x 231mm and weighs only 4kg, even with the integrated scale included. It comes in neutral grey with a slightly lighter grey colour for its top control panel. The control panel has an organised keyboard with numeric keypad and function buttons as well as a display. The scale is to the right of the control panel.
Advantages
Convenient, efficient, and cost-saving, the Pitney Bowes DM60 digital mailing system offers excellent benefits of MailMark. This includes everything from automated tariff updates to printing of prepay reply envelopes. It comes with a 4-digit PIN to discourage unauthorised use. With standard networking connectivity, the Pitney Bowes DM60 desktop mailing system can update its rates accurately.
Disadvantages
Not ideal for busy working environments, the DM-60 franking machine can only handle an average of 30 parcels or envelopes a day. Automated updates aren't allowed on the Pitney DM60 printer if only connected to a PC instead of Wi-Fi or network.
