Designed for wide format printing, the Ricoh MP CW2200SP wide format digital multifunction printer pioneered the colour multifunction category with its fast print speeds and quick warm-up times. Lower power consumption and reduced total cost of ownership make the Ricoh MPCW2200SP inkjet multifunction printer an attractive prospect for a business that wants to save money in the long run. Multiple paper feeds and a simplified display enable higher productivity and minimal downtime, too, but this model can be expensive to upgrade and may not be the best for high-volume workloads.
Design
The Ricoh MP CW2200SP digital full-colour multifunction printer measures 1,384mm wide, 1,214mm tall, and 660mm deep, and weighs less than 120kg. It runs on 3GB of RAM and comes with a 250GB hard disk drive. Depending on paper choice used, the Ricoh MP CW2200SP has a print capability of up to 1200dpi. The Ricoh MPCW2200SP wide format colour digital imaging system uses the on-demand piezo inkjet system to print, and the scanning element is CIS. Paper can be fed or loaded from rolls. The control panel is a tiltable 4.3-inch screen with one-touch shortcuts.
Advantages

The Ricoh MP CW2200SP CAD / GIS printer offers flexible media handling, an adjustable operator panel and a simplified display. Confidential documents are protected with user authentication, data overwrite, user access restriction and PDF encryption. Built-in SD card and USB slots enable direct scanning to and printing from those ports. The Ricoh MP-CW2200SP colour multifunction printer supports direct printing from supported mobile devices.
Disadvantages
Apart from the high initial cost, the MPCW2200SP colour inkjet printer is expensive to upgrade with additional paper handling, wireless LAN or Gigabit Ethernet. The copy resolution of the Ricoh MP CW2200 MFP is limited to 600dpi, and this can cause some images to appear washed out or lacking in detail when copying. This model may not be the best multifunction printer for high-volume use.
