Design
A control panel with function buttons and status display is on the front of the TallyGenicom LA650+. Thanks to a lid on its front feed, this model can be tucked away neatly when not in use. Standard automatic quick-tear reduces paper waste. For connectivity, parallel and serial ports are provided. This model uses long-life components and ribbon cartridges with durable fabric.
Advantages
The TallyGenicom LA650+ can handle 7-part forms (one original and 6 copies). It has a straight paper path, which can help in reducing jamming or skewing. This model also automatically adjusts to different media thickness. This serial matrix printer offers 720cps at 12cpi configuration and can deliver a maximum of 300 characters per second for near letter quality. The TallyGenicom LA650+ is very reliable and can handle continuous forms, delivering 606 pages per hour in draft mode.
Disadvantages
Two forms can be loaded onto the TallyGenicom LA650+ with a second tractor, but this is not standard to the unit. This model is quite bulky and can take up a lot of space on desks.
